Any predictions on all the first round games? RBS vs. Van Buren, Westmoreland vs. Celina, Pickett vs. Gordonsville, and Trousdale Co. vs. Clarkrange. I think Pickett will beat Gordonsville and Celina will beat Westmoreland, but i don't know about the Hartsville and C-range game. That should be an exciting game to watch. Let's hear some other thoughts...

Celina is a real good team with a chance to go far, but i think RBS will stop them. They have a few good post players and a lighting quick point guard.

I hate when we have to play Celina because they are so dangerous. They can play with anybody. Chad Watson is probably their best player. He can light it up from outside and he is very decieving when it comes to drving to the hoop. Chase Stevens is equally as good as Watson. Chase can score from anywhere on the floor. Eric Stafford is the point. He is quick and if he gets hot, he does not miss. John Frazier is their big man. He is very physical and is good scorer if he gets down low. Tony Morris is their weakest link of the five starters. He can still hit some threes if he gets into a flow, but with some pressure on him he tends to take one dribble toward the goal and throw up a terrible shot. If this team is playing together, they can beat anybody on any given night. I think they will beat Westmoreland by 8.

I wouldn't count westmoreland out. They have been playing really hard lately. I see them at least making it to the 2nd round.

I believe if Celina and RBS both make it to the semi's that Celina will pull it off. If any teams from this region goes to state it will be a joke I think. "I donn think" that any of this regions teams can really compete with the teams that will prolly be in state

i know celina is good but i do know that w-land played them earlier before the season started and lost by only 2 and they were missin 4 or their active players due to fball....therefore i think it will be a funn game with the best defensive effort winning the game....

As for waiter03's comments...perhaps this is true for the 8A part of the district, but certainly not for 7A. Perry Co is #1 in the state. They beat Sante Fe by 4 points. Pickett Co. beat Sante Fe by 9 and Pickett is the #2 team in 7A. Our 7A teams will do just fine.

there is no way celina will win the region. no way. they have a bad coach but some good players. coach owens and my dawgs will tear them up if they get past westmoreland.

Celina has a good coach and good players and are very dangerous to any team. RBS will do very well if they play like they know how, like they did against Pickett earlier this season. As for teams in this region not being able to compete, that has to be one of the worse comments ever made on coacht, how can you sit here and say that these teams cant compete? I have seen RBS, Pickett, Celina, Clarkrange, Westmoreland, Trousdale, and Gordonsville all play and they are all legit teams with very hardworking attitudes. Besides you cant even say they cant compete, because most of these teams will more than likely be facing teams that they have never faced before, so how can you say that? Lets me tell you something my dad used to tell me, "Don't count your Chickens, until the eggs hatch". I think either of these teams would make a fine showing for the region, i just hope that it will be RBS!!!!!!!
