How long has Bowlin been at GC ???? What is his record there????

I'm not sure exactly how long - maybe 8 years. I happen to like Coach Bowlin and have always felt like he was a good coach. His record at GC is not very good and I'm not sure why. Maybe there just comes a point when it doesn't matter why - whether it's talent or coaching, the situation is as it is. I guess what I'm thinking is that a change may be best for HIM and the team. Whatever happens, I wish nothing but the best for Coach Bowlin and the GC boys. Skylar Bowlin is a great player and I agree with Wimpy about the timing if a change happens. I would not bash Coach Bowlin - sometimes the fit just isn't right. Good luck to all involved!

Well you might be right about the fit.......but i noticed that someone mentioned him going to Union city.......I dont think that the tradition that Union City has would give him a chance of going there without a winning record from somewhere else.

Does Lex Suite actually have the resignation from coaching basketball in writing? Lex said the other day Roy has not put anything down on paper. Coach Grant's daughter is a very good player from Clarksburg I believe. I don't blame him a bit for wanting to follow her basketball career in high school! Roy, we will miss you!

Your pont is well taken! Union City is an excellent academic and athletic institution! Maybe their basketball program needs someone a little more mature. In this business, the only friends a coach has are other coaches or officials. Oops! I forgot the "good guys" at Ken Tenn Sports!
