Has anyone heard who they are talking to or when they might be hiring a coach????

I think that he will get the job. As of April 5th , I dont think anyone has applied for the job.

Well you might be right about the fit.......but i noticed that someone mentioned him going to Union city.......I dont think that the tradition that Union City has would give him a chance of going there without a winning record from somewhere else.

I heard that Butch was having to leave Dyer Co. at the end of the year. Is that going to happen????

What about in west tn?????

Explain to me why South Side and Haywood are not in the same region. I believe that South Side is alot closer then say teams like Martin and Union city that are in the region with Haywood.Seems the Tssaa does have a good grasp of where all the west tn schools are located and distance of travel when it comes to setting up the west tn regions.......If you ask me ALL the regions in west tn outside of Memphis are screwed up in there alignamnets.Look at Gibson Co, Milan ,and Humbolt..........all within 10 to 15 miles....all in different districts, different regions, and even different sub-states........somthing is bad wrong with that set up.

Looks like Obion has peeked to early and is on it's way back down. It want surprise me if Crockett beats them too. They are not playing like they did a month ago.

Looks like they might be running out of steam.......kind of like the Trenton girls use to about this time of year......kids can peek to early and get burnt out if they play all the time.

I will also add that I am tired of being torn between Dyer Co and Dyersburg........enough is enough......why cant they pull together and fight for each other instead of trying to destory one another.....they could be the envy of all of Tennessee if they would work with each other.

Has nothing to do with being jealous.......I am proud of what Dyer County has done on the floor. Off the floor is what concerns me. Trust me ........coaches are paying close attention to this ruling......if will effect how each coach handles things in the future.. I assure you, what ever the ruling.......coaches will react to it with respect to their own programs.

Well I dont think people realize just what kind of message will be sent to all the coaches based on what the TSSAA rules. If they do nothing more, it will open the door for more coaches to recruit 6'5 players, pratice 365 days a year, scrimmage as much an when they want and when they want, and all they have to do is sit out 5 regular season games of their chosing. I think all coaches would be willing to sit out 5 games to do all of that and have a chance to go far in the post season. If the TSSAAA comes down hard though, all the coaches will surely think twice about how far they try and stretch the rules. I dont think most people understand just how important this decision will effect basketball especially in the WEST TN area.

I saw where Butch was back at the helm last friday. Is his suspension over????? Was it the TSSAA that suspended him????

My understanding is there were 3 of them , and one of which was at UTM....... could this be a another rules violation by Dyer County???? Seems to be in their tract record.

Are you saying that Dyer County and South Fulton scrimmaged before the State Tournament last year??????????

All the games were played well...and we won one of them."" I didnt think you could scrimmage after the start of the basketball season. Union City has a goodlooking freshman. Lots of talk about him in Northwest Tn.......not sure of his name though. I think he is one of there leading scorers.

The Hopkins' situation was never addressed by the school board last nite. There were alot of people in attendance as well. My source told me that they will not address it until they hear from the TSSAA.

This is why our country is in the shape it is in now........because we dont punish people for their wrongs hard enough.......If you wont to keep people following rules....then punish hard.........so hard they wont think of doing it the second time........This sounds just like our justice system .......probation.....suspend........get to the meat of it and put the max punishment on early time and then it wont be long till everyone will be in check.
