MAtt Tanzi hit a solo HR.

and Nathan Whittle pitched great.

 

McMinn was winning 5-0 into the 4th and a crucial error was made on a routine groundball dp and turned the game around.

 

McMinn lost 6-5

One error doesn't cost a team 5 runs. Maybe it was routine but the blame shouldn't be placed on one player. He is probably the best player on the team. Think of all the games that the player has made plays that won the game for the team. It is a team sport.

From what I understand the play was a rountine ground ball that could have turned a double play and ended the inning. A senior who in that position has to step up during district play and make the routine plays. It may not have been the play that cost the game, but between it and only 1 other error in the outfield it was definitely a killer.

They must have a pretty good infield for a double play to be considered a routine play.

in my opinion, i think that mcminn has one of the best infields in the state.

If the ball is caught it is an easy 6-4-3 dp. W/ Matt Ray and Jason Breaux up the middle any dp is pretty routine
