camden
I saw where you said you were from Milan. Do you have any info about the seniors they had? Any going to play college? If not where do they plan to attend for an education. They showed alot of heart everytime I saw them play against Camden. I was just interested in their future. I wish them the best!!! camden
Hullings must be really smart. Is Bethel going to give Shannon alot of money. He impressed me with his hard work and determination. Lack of height but he made up for it in heart. As for Franz kid he was the best overall player in the district in my opinion. I thought he would of got MVP but BAin from Camden deserved also. So Cagle is redshirting at Martin. WOW! That really surprises me. He was not really impressive in my opinion but you cant not teach height.
sls
Hulling is very intelligent. He also has more determination than any kid I have ever known. Shannon is 5'9", but as you say can play point guard with anyone. He was not personally well liked by his coach @ Milan. He could have been Milans leading scorer along with what he did lead them in: steals, assists and was 2nd in deflections. He was the best all around PG Milan has had in a while. Too bad he did not get the opportunity he deserved all year. He sure proved himself when he did get the chance though. I think Bethel pretty much offers everyone the same. It is not cheap to go there for sure. Seyerle is working out @ several places and I guess is seeing which way is the best finacially. Cagle I do not think is redshirting the 1st year he is at school. he is not on scholarship @ this point, but there is one waiting next year and I think that will be the redshirt year also. Cagle has come so far in the last few years. He has so much untapped potential. every time he gets a little better you can se just how much further he can go. Let him fill out some and catch up with his height and I think he will make an impact at UTM, eventually.
camden
Your probably right about the Cagle kid. He just will need some work. As for Shannon, why didn't the coach like him. HE seemed like a pretty good kid. I talked to Coach Martin the other day and he said that bethel had offered Brock the same type scholarship. I would love to see Shannon and Martin on the same team. They both could definately make an impact at Bethel. That would be very exciting. They both seem to love the game very much and play with alot of heart. sls
Shannon and parents went to Bethel today. From what I know it went really well. Mcullar signed yesterday with Bethel along with a Ross and Harris, one is from Houston County and I forget where the other is from. You know it is funny that Kyle is one of the most liked students at Milan and ecery coach he has ever had was delighted with him, even the one at Milan. They just did not hit it off that well, but that is not the only case of that at Milan, just happens to be the one mentioned. From what I hear Bethel was not realy looking at Kyle and then he went for the tryout and out of several kids that came he was one of the last few they kept around. Thay did not realize he could shoot, or handle the ball, play defense, and has a basketball mind. They are looking at playing him at shooting guard, and he was not even "allowed" yes allowed to shoot at Milan in most games. Martin would also be an asset. I think Bethel is shallow at guard, but sounds like they are building it up some.
CATS1
You would'nt show any bias towards Shannon would you there SLS. So how did the campus look while you were there?
twhoops
Shannon is definately top 100 in the state. He can flat out play. He understands the game way beyond his years and way beyond most high school players. He will be an asset at any school. Any one to think otherwise does not know basketball. sls
I agree TW. By the way I have waited until today to send this and thinking of how I wanted to say it. Balla07 Shannon signs today @ 1:30 at the school with Bethel. You are invited. I have 2 requests bring your shoes and some money. Kyle could use some easy spending money and I figure he could take itfrom you pretty easy. If you don't show then I'll know.
