2 Ms. Basketballs on the 1st team and neither one is player of the year.....the Jackson Sun is a sorry excuse for a newspaper!!!!!!!

 

Bottom line is: there are numerous players from 13 AA that deserved to be at least honorable mention, if not on one of the three teams. A name does not make a player!!!

Maybe West TN knew something the AP voters didnt.

 

Rebbeca Rowsey had an amazing season and very well could have been Miss basektball.

 

She has signed to play with Georgia, so that speaks volumes.

 

I think instead of crying, maybe a congratulations is in order. You didnt see Chester COunty fans crying when Cavin won Miss basektball- an award that Rowsey could have won very easily.

You see what happens when you only distribute ballots in Madison and Henderson County!!! Really though, Rowsey is very deserving and will be a good player for Georgia in the SEC. I think OS91 may still be upset that Laura Hall didn't win Ms. Basketball.......

 

Have they hired a coach yet in Oliver Springs?? Haven't heard anything, just wondered. Good luck next year. Can't wait to see Hall play on the NIKE team this summer......

However, from my understanding some pretty impressive names have shown alot of interest.

 

As for Hall, I'm looking forward to her playing on the Nike Team- I'm really exicted to see if she can help lead them to a national championship. Of Course, last year she played some bigtime basketball along with other nationally recgonized players ( Fuller and Newman) that helped Shelybville to their 3rd place finish in the country.

 

Also, Hall was one of the few players that Made the Orlando Sentinal All South Team. Even though she only made honorable mention, she was only one of a couple TN players that were mentioned this year even a couple highly regarded seniors were left off the list. But, again Hall is a junior.

 

Furthermore, over Miss basektball - being chosen as a 1st Team ALL state ALL classifications by the AP spoke volumes- the only AA player on the team, and only a junior.

 

Anything else?
