What is the best rivalry in the State?

One of the better HS rivalries in the state is that of midstate competitors Father Ryan and Harpeth Hall. Both teams flip-flop victories each year and continuously put on a good show, both soccer and 'trash talk' wise.

 

Also a rising star in the rivalry sky, Harpeth Hall vs GPS. This year the two single-sex schools went head to head early in the season giving GPS the 'W'. However, it was the semi-final game in the state tournament that tossed the Honeybears back into the fire. The teams went scoreless until, with 28 seconds remaining in the 2nd sudden death OT, a sophomore put a PK on goal to give the Bears a win and advancement to the State Finals where they fell to common foe, Baylor.

Hillwood vs. Brentwood Academy. The girls always get up for this one. BA even has a pep rally for this game. Not sure how the rivalry started, but it started none the less.

I agree hardball, Franklin always has to expect a tough game from every one of their opponents because they're on top. Fortunately, though, they have Janet Laws to serve as a leader.

dobyns Bennett v Science Hill - reason Science hill have been in the shadow of DB for quite a while and quite simply science hill hates everything about DB especially the coach.

Plavich, can you tell me who Janet Laws is? I'm pretty familiar with the Franklin program and have several ties to it yet I've never heard of that name. Maybe it's ignorance, but could you enlighten me.

Janet Laws actually posts on here often. She's my cousin. She will be a freshman next year and she's a very talented girl. You'll come to know her and love her as you watch her play for the next four years. The only problem is that she's considering attending FRA next year, instead of Franklin, but odds are that she'll end up at FHS. Go Rebels!!!
