CBHS plays Ridgeway in the biggest matchup in the West this year at 5:30 PM at Mike Rose Soccercomplex in Memphis. Game was cancelled due to rain Thursday. 2 Defending State Champions to battle in a game which will give both teams a feeling of what state playoff intensity is like. Ridgeway players talking it up on this one. They have been waiting over a year for revenge from a 3-0 loss last year. Should be an instant classic. Be there.................. good luck bro # 2. :) Any predictions?

Our coach told us some of the stuff Ridgeway has been saying about us and I think it fired us up. We totally dominated this game and cleared the bench by 15 into the second half. We know they have a good team but they motivated us and we were playing at our best yesterday. They played Bearden very close earlier in the year so we knew we needed to play well early in the game and we did. Ridgeway will bounce back and play tough in A-AA state but they need to respect their opponents because trashtalking does not help you.

This game was for DII as our Division is not getting respect this year.

Regards, # 2 bro

    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.

    • MTD (Stanley Black and Decker) and UTM are the only thing keeping Westview's numbers up. Are school enrollments dropping in those listed schools too or just athletic rosters?
