K.A.Y.A. Classic was a well run competitive tournament. If you missed it, you missed one of the best tournaments put on this year. The teams got an opportunity to showcase their talent. Congratulations to all those that made the all-tournament team. The K.A.Y.A. Classic (11 & Under) all-tournament team is as follows: (Lady Eagles) #1 Tiffany Miles, # 5 Amanda Lou Allen, #23 Ashleigh Eliott/ (TN.Gems) #35 Ashton Owens, #11 April Yust, #2 Velicita Hutson/ (Lady Stingers) #12 Jasmine Thibou, #22 Kristen Moses, (Lady Pacers) #21 LaShanta Clardy, #34 Tara Coles. The K.A.Y.A. Classic all-tournament team is as follows: (TN. Liberty) #14 Kerri Simpson, #20 KB Beverly, #44 Michelle Smith/ (Lady Tar Heels) #22 Bailey Gabbard, #32 Dena Riner, #54 Kiah Simmons/ (Lady Pacers) #22 Brittney Carney, #24 Linda Augburns/ (TN. Titans) #00 Christina Muse, #21 Nichole Franklin. We had a great time and look forward to hosting the K.A.Y.A. Classic again next year. However, there is another tournament coming up in June. The K.A.Y.A. Summer Jam, remember we give trophies to the teams finishing 1st through 4th place. An all tournament team is chosen by an independent panel.

yes i do agree with you barry that it was a good tournament especially the 13 year old division with the tennessee liberty placing in first and the tarheels finishing in second. i would like to thank the coach for his kind words after the game it meant alot. you are a class act tarheels and that means more than winning for these kids.

Sounds great. But I'd like more details. When will the Summer Jam be held in June? And where is it going to be held? Age groups? I'm not familiar with the KAYA Classic. Any further info would be appreciated.

June 13-15. There's a thread at the top of the AAU Girls Message board that could give you all the information you need. The Summer Jam will be open to Boys and Girls
