Class of 2004 Commitments

Congratulations to Harrison Eldridge (OF/INF) of Farragut HS for his recent commitment to East Carolina

 

University of Tennessee still at 0

Tennessee is obviously loaded with its 2003-2004 classes. Stop and think. Farragut's 2003-2004 class engineered a 48-1 record and finished in the top 10 of several national rankings. To date, one player from those 2 classes is at UT, and he's an invited walk-on.

 

There are similar players in outstanding programs throughout the state. This is not an accident. These players have been representing well in competitive summer baseball on a national level since they were 10-11 years old.

 

In addition to the high profile players, there will be a large number of 2003-2004s that will go to smaller schools and Junior Colleges and continue to develop. If these guys develop into D-1 material in a couple of years, will they also be shunned by UT?

I tell ya, Delmonico is absolutely KILLING me!!!!

 

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing my boy Adam Howard, Ooltewah High School, class of 2002, play for the Vols!! He just recently commited for the 2004-2005 school year! Good luck Adam!
