So does nobody think anyone is in the lead for state in A-AA? If i had to guess i would say Spencer Witiker (spelling?) is up there!

I didn't mean to infer private schools were not true A-AA. I was replying to previous post by AJC asking which public schools would have top A-AA CC teams if TSSAA split private and public schools.

 

Certainly FRA, Libscomb, University School , etc. are true A-AA schools.

Top A-AA Individual Runners

 

 

Certainly Whittier of CCS (16:09 at TN Classic) and Clayton of University School (16:04 at TN Classic) are top contenders. However, with a month to go until State, several new contenders could surface.

Who is Clayton? Never heard of the guy?

Jim Clayton is a senior at University School of Nashville. He recently finished second at the District 11 meet which included Ryan, MBA, FRA, and LIpscomb.

 

However, University School is a Division II school - My oversight.

Clayton posted a 15:55 at Steeplechase last year at the Division II regionals and 15:44 at the State. This year he ran a 16:04 at the TN Classic.

central doesn't have over 1000 students, 940 some odd students. they are true A-AA

Sorry if my info on Sullivan is wrong. TSSAA shows Sullivan's 2002 enrollment at 1022 and Sullivan Central's webpage states that its school population is "1000 plus". If you have more accurate information, then I stand corrected.

 

Either way, Sullivan is classified by TSSAA as A-AA for the 2003 season - and they are likely to run in that classification for regional and state.

I checked white house heritage's enrollment. They've got 220 students.
