Camden comes away victorious last night at Bruceton 38-20. It was quite an exciting game. Josh Boyd, of Camden, takes the opening kickoff back for a score, and we're up 6-0 with about 11:40 seconds left in the first quarter. However Bruceton struck back and took the lead 7-6. If I'm not mistaken thats the first time they have been ahead all year. Anyways we score two unanswered touchdowns, to go up 18-7. We missed the first extra point and couldn't convert the next two two-point conversations either. At halftime it was 18-7. We score first in the second half to make it 25-7. Then Bruceton puts together a few good drives and all of a sudden its 25-20. But Camden withheld the lead and punched in two more td's for the final score of 38-20. It was a hard fought game, I thought we could have played better, and the score could have easily been 56-14. Josh Boyd was a hoss last night. He had well over 200 yds for the second straight week, and he had over 300 all purpose yds. Great effort by Camden, it had been 12 years since we last beat them.

good win for camden, hats off to bruceton central class act football team.one thing i can say from what i saw friday night boyd was just too much for the bruceton defense.from anther stand point bruceton is improving each week, but as always as a camden vs. game throw out the win loss records cause each team will come after each other.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
