Jefferson Co. edges out one over O.R. Both teams are obviously talented but Coach Meadows just seems to have his players ready for the big games. I think they will end up beating D.B. and going to state. Just too much talent at running back. Should be a great one.

Not throwing fire, just don't like JC, for what they did to my friends, for what they did to Mennefee's Knee, and there overall lack of class, sorry, don't care if JC doesn't like us. "LET THEM HATE SO LONG AS THEY RESPECT." That was 91 teams attitude. You have got to have that swagger!!!!!

I just hope that OR doesn't have to play Karns anytime soon. Oh, that swagger aint John Wayne, it's the crack.

Yes you are throwing fire and yes you just tossed some at the devil.

You obviously dont respect us or you wouldnt make ignorant comments like that. I am amazed at your vast wealth of knowledge about Jefferson County and the folks that live there. I guess it is going to be really tough to take, when we come out of the trailor park, come to your backyard and "steal" this game from mighty Oak Ridge.

I dont care what happened when Coach K was our coach and I sure dont care what happened in 91. Welcome to 2003 the year of the Redneck.

Don't be angry Lawyer Milloy that Oak Ridge is THE CLASS program in east Tennessee. But no disrespect to DB they run neck and neck with the Wildcats. Don't believe Pats can come to "The Ship" and get a win. Everyone knows JC doesn't bring big crowds to Oak Ridge, to much strain on the horses and wagons. Roll Wildcats Roll!!!!!

Wow 91statechump I hear a bit of bitterness out of you, your Mother must not have paid good attention to you as a baby, I don`t see how she couldn`t you weighing 25lbs at birth. You are going to be in for a great suprise if you don`t think Jeff Co is on the same level as O.R, if not on a higher one.

Jeff Co 35

O.R 31

Should be fun

CYJacket,

Ahhh, you don't have a game to talk about do you. Did you enjoy watching Oak Ridge play Friday night? How's basketball season? Still dating your sister? Is Coalfield still looking to host Inbreed olympics?

Didn't know Oak Ridge played on TV, but wouldn't watch then either. You can go back to Benedict and Carver now to buy some more crack.

Oh, BTW, the team that beat the Jackets by one point with no time left on the Clock beat the Number one team in the state for the division Friday night. Hope O.R. doesn't play Karns.

You're not on our level, check your trophy case. Jc has a great program, but if you ask the folks in middle and west Tennesse, they talk about OR and DB, and even Maryville not JC. It's fact. Had your chance in 96' when you beat a great OR football team, but then you choked in the finals, gotta finish it, the great programs do.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
