Ripley and Covington

I'll have to disagree with the McKenzie comment. Despite their schedule, Wade Comer and the gang have advanced to the semi-finals the last two years, with that streak ending last Friday night. Name another AA team who has done that in the last three years.

I am not disputing Mckenzie's recent success, but to make it past the semi's,they are going to have to start playing a much tougher non-region schedule. Not a knock against Mckenzie, because they have really turned that program around, but I think to take it to the next level then you need to start playing the best teams you can schedule.

Charger00, I understand some people can't except things. But you can cry and whine allyou want to but that does not change the standings. You will just have to wait till next year to do that.

I've tried to be sympathetic with Ripley but you keep insisting that you are 7-3A Champions. It was a three way tie. The weak schedule got ya'll home field advantage. It also made ya'll think you were better than you really were. So if calling yourselves Region champs makes you feel good so be it. Everybody knows that Region 7-3A belongs to Covington and it has for along time. You don't see us running around saying we are region champs in baseball, even though we beat yall 3 out of 4 games last year. That's because ya'll advanced and we did'nt. Show some class!

Hey guys region champs to me aint nothing unless you go all the way I hope ya'll do it because ya'll beat us twice( win it all) . Now we are not region champs in baseball but we are State champs mayebe ya'll can reverse that and win it in football . Good Luck keep reg 73A alive ..

I guess you don't remember 1999 do ya? Covington won state that year in baseball win an impressive 31-7 record. 24 wins straight to finish the season to be exact! That 99' team that Covington had would have killed Ripley's State Championship team. Get your facts together BigJ!
