Roger Herndon from Greenbrier should win the award based on the numbers he has put up running the football. Earnest Williams is a good runner, but from what I saw, he did not look any better than Roger. The first play of the game was a 4 yard loss, followed by a very long run. Roger has had his fair share of breakaway plays too. As far as Roger not being good, if Roger is not a good running back and still ran for 210 yards against Crockett then that is not saying very much about Crockett's defense.

In 3a, I think Josh Garza should have been nominated for Mr. Football in the backs category. Don't get me wrong all of the backs nominated are amazing athletes and very deserving of it. But the numbers Garza put up for a QB are amazing, he should have at least got some recognition. He rushed for 1,110 yards averaging around 8 or 9 yards a carry and 17 TD's. He passed for 1,700 yards and 13 TD's. He had at least one big play against every team they played this year and no one stopped him all year. Oh, and he didn't even play in the Giles County game due to a concussion. All I'm sayin is that the kid should have at least got some recognition.

Albert Harris from Austin East should win mr. Football in their classification. This kid is amazing, every team that played against him will tell you that.....Basically teams in the area where going into the games expected him to get his yards.............

You can't say it any other way. Yes sir, ALbert Harris of AE should win the Mr. Football in 3A. He may be a Junior but look, he's accomplish so much this year it ain't funny. Hands DOWN, ALbert wins it over MOO MOO, Ernest, and anyone else that's trying to take it from him

Josh Garza is an awesome QB, and I agree that he should have been chosen. He was one of our biggest threats in the GB-Sycamore games and if he keeps doing as well as last year, I have no doubt he will be a nominee next year.
