Page kept it close in the 1st qtr. as Matt Bowling scored 11 of his 18, but Ravenwood's balanced attack with 5 players scoring gave them the lead 16-13. Ravenwood outscored Page 23-6 in the 2nd qtr to take a 39-19 lead at the half. Page outscored Ravenwood in the 2nd half 27-25, but Ravenwood's lead could not be overcome by the Patriots. Raptors win 64-46.

Wow... I knew when they hung with Hillsboro in the first half of the first round of the 11-AAA tourny last year that the Raptors would be decent this year. But 64-46? Was this to be expected?

That's dissapointing that Gary Vaughn only scored 3 points.. hopefully he did the little things in the game.. hope he can get it goin in

Gary Vaughn really needs to step up and give Page some inside game. The outside shooting of Matt Bowling & Corey Herald is great, but Page needs more rebounding and inside offensive play to win.

goldenboy, I don't know who "buff" is - give me a hint. The loss of Jason Brock to David Lipscomb definitely hurt Page's inside game. Everyone's hoping Gary Vaughn will fill the void. Page starts some sophs who are very good - they just need some game experience. Page's new coach, Chris Ladd is working very hard to find the right combination of players.

I think you're referring to Michael Motley, goldenboy. Motley was on Page's football team as a running back and linebacker. He is not on the basketball team this year however. I'm not sure of the reason and I will not comment on the rumors surrounding it. He was a crowd favorite last year with his aggressive style of play. I wish he was on the team this year and I was surprised when I did not see him on the roster.

Impressive. Ravenwood DID look good last year in the District tournament, hate to see what might happen after they get a senior class and a little bit of experience under their belts! You'll have an entire team that has started together for 3 years! Hope our Rebs can stay on top of them !
