It would be best for the team and the coach to be there when school starts back after Christmas. The players will have time to adjust to him and he will have some time to meet and to implement his program to the players. Lets hope that the school board, parents and players will greet him with open arms and minds. It is time for a winning program and this will be the time to start! Put all politics aside and let the new coach work his magic.

In a recent Sports Illustrated 50th anniversary special - 50 States in 50 Weeks-Texas, was an article about high school football titled 'Thank God It's Friday'. It detailed 2 Class 5A teams with student-body populations of around 2,200. Here's some numbers:

Smithson Valley: 260 players- Varsity, 2 JV, 2 Freshmen teams

Westlake: 220 players

I realize these 2 teams are 2 of the better teams in Texas and that Tennessee's classification may not match the TX class. However, in comparing student-body pops, WARREN COUNTY does have a building built to hold around 2,000 students and their actual enrollment probably fluctuates between 1,500 and 2,000 pupils. How many were in Warren County's football program this year and for comparison how many are in other school's programs such as Cookeville, Riverdale, Lincoln County, etc.............???????

I`m sire after Britton gets here and puts in the Riverdale system we will see a surge of players coming out and wanting to be on the a winning team. It will only take time and leaving Britton alone. The parents need to stay out of the way and let him make real men out of thier pansies kids. It will happen. You have to believe!!!!!!

im not sure about riverdale or lincoln county, but Cookeville is a school of 2,000, and they have about 100 on their roster including freshman, 75 on varsity.
