Is Van Buren that much better than Westmoreland? Did VB play well? Did Westmoreland not show up? Is Cole Delong the younger brother of Keith Delong who played for VB a few years ago? And no VB isn't any better than Westmoreland, almost every Westmoreland player had some sort of Flu symptoms last night....but that is NOT an excuse....but we will make up for it later on. Three of Westmoreland's starters had the flu and they only shot 18% from the field, but like Catalyst said that isnt an exuse. EVERYONE has their off nights. We'll be ok... I do remember a Chris DeLong that played with Seamons two years back; I would guess they are related.... unstopable21 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Share Posted December 9, 2003 What hurt westmoreland was #3 in my opinion, he kept shooting tough shots. Flu? VB's school had about 25% of their school out for illness. VB is alot toougher than you most ppl, many players worked hard in the summer just to get better. A few of them go to the Y to play ball with me after practice. That just shows players wanting to get better. They just have to remember the season is just one big warm up, district tourny is where it begins. This team keeps getting better at playing with each other and Bryce and Cole continue to improve this will be a big turn around from last year s VB team.
