Darren McKnight (149) and Matt McCarty (165) are both starting for Michigan State and Jake Yost is doing well for UTC!

Waylon Lowe two time DII 149lb.Champ at Findley currently at 165lbs and OW at last weeks Indy Tourn. Waylon also was at Midlands and was I believe 3-2.

 

Tim Freel 197lbs at Carson Newman and doing well.

OK, I could be wrong on this one, but it seems that I heard that Yost is academically ineligible this semester. PLEASE, correct me if I am wrong. I hope to be wrong because he is an awesome wrestler. Anyone know?

Nathan Jones at Carson Newman is doing really well for a freshman at 171 I think thats the weight.

Nope, your right Yost can't wrestle. He missed to many days of school or something like that.

Adam "Hank" Rains, Josh Bosken, Dillon Jennings, and Josh Pennington are also at UTC. Chonci Houston is at Carson Newman. Partirck Simpson is also at Army. Matt Pitts is actually from Calhoun, GA. If you are going to mention him, you also have to mention Josh and Michael Keefe who both are at UTC as well. I know that Josh is ranked and I think that Michael is too. I'm sure that there are others, but those are the ones that come to mind first. Our area is finally starting to make a name for itself on a more national level.

Drew Woodward is still at Carson-Newman, but recovering from a cracked vertebrae suffered in the match against Iowa State. I think he is cleared to wrestle again on January 28th.
