Father Ryan is not a duals tournament. You can't really move up in the rankings by placing higher in a duals tournament. When did you beat Kenwood, and how bad? Who have you lost to? Just curious. Good luck tonight.

215 from Rossview...I have beat the 215 from overton 3 times including twice by more then 8. I also beat him at the brentwood tournament. I didn't wrestle him in the consellation finals at brentwood because i had been sick all day and had beat him earlier that day. I don't see how he can be ranked and i can't when i have beat him three times and he has not been able to beat me once.

I believe Overton should be in the top ten, because we have beaten both Rossview and Kenwood. We finished higher than both of them at Father Ryan.

Is this a valid point?

Nope. Kenwood is not as good of an individual tournament team as Overton. Overton has Ibrahim, who will almost always be in the finals, plus Tayar and a few other kids that can score big at individual tournaments. Kenwood doesn't necessarliy have as much "star power". Shelton would be their top scorer. Kenwood picks your weak spots apart, because they have a very well-rounded line up. Overton has some holes. That's why I think Kenwood would beat Overton, especially if they got Baker back at 171. As for beating them earlier, Rossview beat Kenwood earlier this year, but they got demolished the other night. I'm not saying that nothing that happened before Christmas counts, but that's not the same Kenwood team that Overton beat. Matman has to take that into account. Seedings take the whole year into account, but rankings are supposed to be about who the best teams are right now. That's all. Feel free to disagree.

Rossview's 215 is a solid wrestler and is definitely better than some ranked DI 215's. I have wrestled almost all of them and he should at LEAST be ranked. But hey, can't catch everybody. C.J., just show em at state.

I think you do a fine job. I have a question about the D-1 Rankings @ 160 this week. In your rankings you show Williams by tech fall over Johnson however the results on the Brentwood website show the score as 11-2. Which score is correct?

kjfan, Williams 11 - 2 win over Johnson is correct. My guess is that Hamm intended major rather than tech.
