Nice showing guys. It looks like Uri should have been OW for the upper weights. He got a pin in the finals and the OW only got a major decision.

125: Chad Warren (Ridgeway, TN) vs. Josh Davis (Suwanee)

1st: No score

2nd: Davis is able to leg ride Warren for much of the 2nd period, but in the waning moments, Warren scores an escape (1-0 Warren)

3rd: Davis escapes (1-1) and scores on a lateral drop. He receives no nearfall because Warren’s back was out of bounds (1-3).

My take: Wow, Davis surely turned some heads this weekend. He is a solid member of the surprisingly tough Suwannee squad.

152: Hunter Hill (Clay) vs. Caleb Chism (Bartlett, TN)

1st: Hill scores on double leg and rides out Chism for the rest of the period (2-0 Hill)

2nd: Chism escapes and commits a technical violation (3-1 Hill)

3rd: Chism scores two backs to tie the match at 3-3. Hill escapes with about a minute left for a 4-3 lead. Hill scores in the final seconds on a nice double for the 6-3 win.

My take: I just love the way Hill wrestles, he’s very physical and wants his opponent to experience 6 minutes of heck, constantly staying on the offensive. Hill mentally wore down Chism and you could see the affects of the pounding he took in the third.

215: Uri Hansen (Ridgeway, TN) vs. Michael Wright (Suwannee)

1st: Hansen scores a single leg trip and immediately locks up a wrist and a ½, with which, he stacks up for 2 back points. A little later Hansen traps the leg and executes a ¾ stack for the pin.

My take: What is there to say? Hansen is just a very athletic big guy with excellent technique.

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
