vandy03
This post is a bit silly. There is no way that someone who only sees games in one region can talk about who the best players in the state are. I appreciate Katie being on the list (she is my sister), but I do not espouse the belief that she is one of the best players in the state. She is on one of the best teams in the state, and she makes a great contribution, especially on defense. But I'm sure there are many other players with better all-around games. sportsradiotn
First off: It's Division 1 Class 1A. Best 10 players I have seen this season: Danielle Barnett - Peabody Defensively I don't if their is anyone better Brooke Levister - Dresden A solid player inside and out Jessica Bobbit - Peabody Smooth and intimidating Meredith Richardson - Bradford The best pure scorer I've seen this year Amber Wiseman - Gleason Tough on the blocks with a nice touch Courtney Alvey - USJ Good low post defender and rebounder Kayla Hudson - Gleason Runs a team so well from the point Sharday Boyd - Lake County Good passer and can shoot the 3 Shelby Cawthon - South Fulton Tough post player with a soft touch Felicia Anderson - Peabody Doesn't look to score, a total team player As to the Kaci Bailey situation - she would have made the list had she played more than a third of the season. It is horrible that she got hurt, because she is a special player and is fun to watch. Whether or not she'll be a factor in the postseason, I don't know...because of the layoff and the lack of practice time. The adjustment to the speed of the game in postseason is so critical. Give credit to Dresden to have had as good a 2nd half of the season as they have had with having to replace their point guard.
