Jamar Jenkins commits to Western Carolina!

Since everyone always says I bash you on here I will be the first one to congratulate you on this accomplishment. It is a great one. I have not seen you play this year but obviously you are doing some good things for your team. Remember team success will bring more individual success. I will give you one piece of advice for school, do not rely on high school achievements when you get there. When you get to college everyone was the STAR on their high school team even some of the walk ons. I think you have a tremendous upside and a chance to be a good college player but you just like I did when i went to college I had to improve my game and how hard I played. It is just a different game when you get to college, just remember that. I think sometimes when you play small division ball and you are talented that you can sometimes dominate and be good without always giving your best effort, but not when you get up against better competition. Best of luckand i will definitely keep my eye out for you.

GeneP, yes I've seen him play and i wasn't that impressed. Besides when he played against Catholic he didn't score and Catholic won the game by 40 points. I also saw the same Kevin Martin score 14 points on ETSU. The best team in the SoCon.

how yall gonna be talkin bout jamar bein so good??? did anyone watch the game when they played Summertown at chapel hill??? he only scored like 9 pts. and the thing about it was that two sophomores took turns guarding him...if he cant score on 2 sophomores then how is gonna do on the college level ???

Jamar Jenkins is going to play Division 1 basketball. Not something alot of kids in Tennessee outside of Memphis are doing. Be happy for him. He'll do fine any flaw in is game will be addressed by his college coach. Congratulations Jamar may you have a successful career.

yeah but he is a lazy player and caleb moore runned the show with him last game,next game the outcome will be the same when Forrest and Richland play.

I would just like to ask why to people get on here and be jealous about stupid stuff? The thing you said about the Summertown somphmores was kinda dumb. Everyone had off nights. I am sure he probly does get a little to much credit but he is a great player. Goodluck Jamar, show them how good you can be and have fun and bust your butt off.
