I got to watch some of the games at the Tri-County. Unaka's boys looked pretty good, and were clutch from the free throw line down the stretch. Lamar's girls team played really well. I believe that these girls go to David Crockett to High School so they have a bright future. The Hampton/Cloudland boys game was not for the timid or meek at heart. Both teams are very good and well coached. I believe that they said that was the third time the teams played each other in the last three weeks. Both Cloudland and Hampton will benefit from the arrival of these young men, although Cloudland will be hurt by the loss of Coach Lunsford's son who will go with him wherever he gets a job. Hampton really has a fine group of 8th graders coming, should they all stick together.
