First off, Coffee Co. winning it last year was a MAJOR fluke. Look what they did in the tournament. they didnt even win a game. the only reason they won the district is becaused they played the stronger teams (columbia, tullahoma) in the beginning of the season when they weren't playing good or they didn't have all their players back. yes they got a few good pitchers returning but it would be crazy to say they will win it all. i see tullahoma playing really well. they are solid all across the diamond. columbia will be good because of bratton and coach pickle. franklin co i heard has a good roster and law co will be good but only around .500.

Hey otis, get your stuff straight before you go runnin that little mouth of yours. If i remember correctly Columbia was a team Coffee Co. played later in the season and they lost both of the games to columbia so that series had nothing to do with the fact, they got swept and still won the district. Yes they did play tullahoma earlier and they swept them but i don't remember tullahoma not having anybody important hurt during that series. Yes they did play very bad during the district tournament but they really didn't have nothing to play for. It was probably hard for them to get up for a game that didn't mean anything. I mean they were already going to the region all the tournament meant was they would get to play that region game at home if they won the whole tournament, that's not a very big incentive. That is probably one of the big reasons they changed that rule this year so that the regular season final standings don't mean that much, Numbers 1 and 2 in the tournament goes to the region this year. Coffee Co. season was far from a fluke i expect to see these boys have a good year and I will support them all the way. Good luck to the rest of the teams and coaches. GO RAIDERS!!

i dont care when they played whoever. and that was a dumb excuse to say they didn't have any reason to play hard in the tournament. everyone wants home field advantage and if you dont know that then you need to be quiet about it. i played against them last year and i know what kind of team they had. and i just cant seem to agree with anyone who says they had the best team in the region.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
