This district is going to be very equal this year. It could very well be a 5 team tie at the end of the season between Volunteer, Sullivan Central, Happy Valley, Unicoi County,and Sullivan North and throw Elizabethton in there this should be a pretty exciting year in this district.

The conference will be very tough this year. Its hard to tell who will come out on top. With all the competition its looking to be a very interesting year. If teams play like expected it could come down to the last week of regular season.

This conference is stacked well for this season. I believe if teams play to their abilities and expectations it will come down to the wire as to who will be on top.

In addition to my recent post, I think it is best that we wait on the only sports writer in Hawkins county, the world famous Mike Williams to publish his thoughts on the season.

nobody has really picked a team yet in this post, but I am goin with Sullivan Central. They've got a motivating coach, a lot of sr. leadership, a lot of speed, not much power, but they do have a lot of contact hitters. Pitching was "supposed" to be their weak spot, but I saw them play south the other day and to be honest they didn't look that bad. They did tie with south 4-4 but they were still short 4 starters. 2 of which hit .400 plus last year. So I'm puttin my money on the Cougars.

Well if ur going with central after a 4-4 tie with south then i'll just go ahead and say it, volunteer. Volunteer played south last night and won 7-5

I think that the conference will very tough this year, and its really hard to tell who will win the conference cause there is so many teams that have a chance. Lets just wait and see how it goes in the season

Happy Valley is in for a rude awakening. I seriously doubt they win conference.

It will be an interesting year for the entire conference.There are some non-conference games this weekend in Elizabethton that have 1AA teams in it, I believe. It's tournament play and a good chance for a few teams in this conference to get a look at one another. I'll reserve my pick after watching a bit. There are some very strong pitchers to be seen.... beware with your early season predictions!
