I'll update this when I get back home, but Parkview won the title last night. We gave them a good run getting 5 guys into the finals and winning 3 of those. Knapp (119), Parker (130), and Lukacs (145) took first place. We had 7 placers overall three firsts, two 2nd, one third and one fifth. Parkview put 5 into the finals and won 2 of those. The biggest upset of the night was Ory of Chattahoochee beating Hudson of Parkview in the 215 bout in overtime.

fhsd...Baird won in a heartbreaker for me. Sean Patrick and his family are very close friends of mine.

Sean was ahead of Baird 4 - 3 with about 35 seconds left and had locked up a cradle and was attempting to turn it and slipped. Baird got a reversal and held on for the win.

He and Sean are very good friends and Baird is a great kid as all of the Parkview wrestlers are.

tophat...Kyle won his first match, lost his second match and lost in the consolation round after two wins to a wrestler from Parkview. It was just the luck of the draw that he had to face a wrestler that knew how to wrestle him and had seen him several times. Coach Ramos met him on the mat after that match and gave him a big hug that a lasted a few minutes. Kyle left the mat to a standing ovation from the other wrestlers, officials, and arena crowd. Many tears were shed.

I don't know if it'll be on the replay or not, but at the start of the finals they did a tribute to Kyle and rolled him out to the center of the arena and had a video of him on the big screen. It was a very emotional time for all of the Collins Hill supporters. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
