i think this is the problem with york baskeball. one moment everyone is glad york beat livingston the next moment everyone is back to putting players down and talking trash about yorks players. this thread was about york beating livingston not everyone getting on here and talking about how bad someone is or how good someone is. or who is overrated and all that crap. york is in this as a team. thats what everyone hasn't figured out. everyone has their own opinions about certain players and everything but ppl come on this is friekin highschool basketball. how about everyone get off each others backs about whose playing so good whose doing so bad, who really cares as long as york is winning. the sad thing about this is that the people that are posting these threads are YORK fans. you are supposed to support your team. not get on here and talk bad about them. york has some great players. josh and derrick are some of the best around. no josh and derrick are the greatest players they will have bad games and when they do get off there backs. york has other players also. no there not what josh and derrick are but they are good or they wouldn't be out there. who cares how many points so and so have. thats good that no one stands out that means that york worked as a team and didn't have to rely on josh and derrick because that puts alot of pressure on them and thats why york has lost so many games this year because josh and derrick can't do it by them selves and they know that. thats why coach puts 5 players out there to work as a team and they didn't do that until the game the other night and everyone saw what happened.

I agree with everything you said, showtime08. And with Garrett's defensive skills no he's not an offensive threat like derrick or josh. and i never put anyone down. and don't you guys think players read this stuff and maybe they use this as motavation. I know i would. and yes i'm a york fan and yes i've been upset with their performance this year because like i said before i know these boys personally and they are way better players than they've been showing. if they'll just play as a team they'll win. that's all i was trying to say earlier. and jill24 probally takes up for garrett because she's a good Christian friend and feels he doesn't get the credit he deserves. maybe i was too bold by saying over rated. just wish the boys would learn the team concept and leave egos at home.

FireonPhoenix, you say some of the most idiotic things. The reason I talk about Blakely is because I think he hustles harder than anyone else on his team, with possibly the exception of Duncan. He works hard and gives his all, even if he doesn't have 2 points the whole game. My praise for him has nothing to do with romantic feelings I have for him, thank you. Showtime, you're exactly right. I have to agree with what you're saying about always supporting the team, no matter if they win or if they stink one night. Anyway, no matter what anyone says, I think the guys still had a good season and were as good as anyone. But that's just personal opinion. ;)

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
