Good Stretches and Stuff

I will be a freshman next year, and I have some questions. I've been cheering since I was 6, I'm 13 now, but i've never had to try out for a team, i've just signed up for the youth league. I haven't cheered at the middle school, because my school doesn't have a squad. I've gotten all the try out info from the high school i will attend, but I need some pointers on what to and what not to do. The coach said that if I did the splits at tryouts then that would bump up my points, but I can't do the splits, I've stretched practically all my life, but I just can't do it.

If any one has any advice on stretches or anything to help this go on a little smoother, please let me know!!
