I always thought the umpires checked the teams bats before each game? I heard they didnt check their bats. As far as i know, on that bat, it had the original seal with 2004 on it. WORTH just gave Coffee County that bat maybe 2 weeks ago.

I think it is interesting that the bat was not questioned until the 8th or 9th inning. It was okay while we were striking out with it. Truthfully CC almost beat themselves with errors. Ladies gotta tighten up the defense! As always when these two teams play it was an exciting game...a little too exciting for me!

Very exciting game, coffe co. jumps out early lady falcons errors hurt, lady falcons come back in last inning to tie it with help from coffe co., coffe co. pulls themselve back together and wins big game. as far as the bat it is illegal, why would yu bring it up until team has advantage with it, Terry and any other coach would have done the same. young ladys action that hit ball and silence of coffe fans when being discussed was a dead give away,but hey its over and we at lincoln co. still luv playing coffe as it is always a battle. oh one last thing young lady for coffe that got big hit to win game deserves a big pat on the back. after last nights game from what ive seen in other teams this district is going to be a dog fight.

sportaholic....young lady's action and the silence of the fans???? We were not silent, just confused over the contraversy.... as for the players actions, she was upset because her hit was called back not because she thought she had used an illegal bat.

lady raidermom, not going to argue as we at lincoln co. enjoy your team and fans each yr. at our place and enjoy coming over to yours. fact is our coach did his job as any coach would including Terry. I have all respect in world for program at coffe co. and will not let this unfortunate situation whether it was by mistake or not , it happened and rule was followed on how it should have been handled. good luck rest of yr. hope yu win all your games except when we are on field with yu. also in earlier post i forgot to compliment the young lady that pitced for yu last nite and also th young lady that finished game.

Was the bat ruled illegal? If so, what brand & model number was it and why?

coachrt...i assume the bat was ruled illegal since they brought back the run and called the batter out. i do not know the model. i know it was a worth bat and it was stamped as certified 2004. i think the question was whether it was on the tssaa list of bats but i'm not sure about that.

im not sure who gets win, but i think the young lady who pitched last few innings does,but softball rules sometimes are confusing so im just not sure.
