Tonight at Farragut. I think it will start sometime around 5:30 if the rain holds off

I won't be able to make it out in person, but I look for a good game. South Doyle has a deep pitching staff and they have some power at the plate with Kirkland and Ross. Since this is their last district game until next Monday, they should be willing to utilize as many arms as necessary.

 

Waldrop has pitched outstanding so far this year. He may do so each and every game. If he pitches as well as he has to date, I would expect him to win. However, every so often a pitcher has an off night. An off night would give SD a chance.

 

Is Eldredge playing tonight? I heard that he might have been injured this weekend. He's the best leadoff batter in the state IMO.

 

When it's all said and done, this is only 1 game out of 14 district contests. It doesn't make or break anyone's season.

IMO it will be a low scoring contest, with Waldrop's pitching and South Doyle's deep pitching staff, the sticks for both teams better show up and show up big.

What you heard about Eldridge is true. He hurt his ankle in Chattanooga this last weekend, and he will be out for about a week from what I am told.
