Favorites on Paper (alphabetical):

 

Boyd-Buchanan - Loses several key players off their great defense. Most of the offense returns including Peardon. They have the young talent to fill their holes from graduation.

 

CPA - The threesome of Pollock(QB), Landers(TB), Sykes(WR) return. All three could be Mr. Football Candidates. They will have to develop several young linemen and adjust to a new coaching staff. Fisher(SS) will lead the defense.

 

DCA - They return nine starters on both sides of the ball plus three or four key back ups. Wooden returns at tailback. Thompson is a Div. 1 prospect at OT. They also have three or four talented young kids that were primarily JV players last year that will make a difference this year.

 

I'm sure there will be several others in the mix as well. Those three just look the best on paper.

DCA is the early favorite as they return all but 2 starters, most notably Wooden and a VERY good Defensive Front. They have two quarterbacks, one primarily a runner, one a passer. The runner gets most of the starts. They shouldn't be challenged by anyone other than.....................................................................

 

CPA, who will have major holes on the line as well as the loss of perhaps the best Coach in Class A. The Fearsome Threesome will make up for it. Pollock to Sikes is the connection that will take them to the Showdown with DCA, this time in the Lions Den which should be an AWESOME game.
