District 11A Tournament

Congratulations to the Forrest baseball team for winning the District 11A tournament held in Winchester, Tn and to the Richland Raiders for runner-up. Richland was the regular season champs and Forrest runner-up, but the Rockets got revenge in the tourney. Huntland was third in the regular season and finished third in the tourney and had a great season, also. Good luck to both teams in the Region tourney beginning Monday.

Forrest beat Richland 8 to 2 to claim the 11A District Championship after Richland beat Huntland by a score of 5 to 4 in the early game. The winning pitcher was Andy Kinsman. Excellent job by all the Rocket players. Great hitting and defense by all. Congratulations to the Rockets.

Who will Forrest and Richland face in the region?

Forrest will face the #2 from 12A in Chapel Hill Monday and Richland will face the #1 from 12A. My guess would be Mt. Pleasant and CA, but I haven't heard.
