Right now the front runners to me are Milan, Convington, Lipscomb and Greenbriar. I think all four teams will make it to Memphis. My darkhorse would have to be Jackson Southside, after last year's run they have the experience to make another.

A team that has been given no credit is Alcoa. They werent even picked to make it out of district but yet they played for the district tile and now are playing for the regional championship. People arent giving those guys enough credit at all, Im not saying that other schools dont but Alcoa has worked very hard and are playing the best ball they have played all year.

East Tennessee doesn't have that strong of double AA ball clubs compared to Middle and West Tennessee. Not taking anything away from Alcoa, it is just when it comes to playing good teams every day I will take a West and Middle Tennessee team everytime.

Alcoa has a substate game waiting for them on Saturday (they moved it because Alcoa's graduation is Friday). If they win that they have just as a good of a chance as anyone that is in Memphis

I think that Grundy has a good shot at going to the state. Woodlee should start the game; if he needs any help, Fults and Sitz are ready to go as well. The 10th man, the fans, will not let the boys down. We feed off the spirit of Jeremy "Wildfire" Melton.
