Bobby Earls GREAT COACH!

Read my whole post before you holler!! 1 year of a second ranking does not make Bobby Earls a great coach. A few good years in a weak district does not make Bobby Earls a great coach. Winning state might, but not yet,,up to now he has been an ok coach from a soccer standpoint. NOW, WHAT REALLY makes Bobby Earl a great coach is that you his team thinks he is and that you have enough love and respect for him to keep telling everybody what a great coach he is. That is the greatest honor we can give our coaches Respect, no matter what our team does... Now, He will fall into the Elite of the East if and when he can bring home a State Championship like Turner from Bearden, Culbreth from Farragut, Martin From Lenoir City, Gerlick from CAK . Yes, I know you will all say this is your year, and maybe it is, but if I was a coach, I would rather have the love and respect from my players than 10 state championships!! Just food for thought , He , Bobby Earls should be honored by your post!!

You don't have to win state to be a great coach. It is nice and it does put you on a different level but Coach Earls is a very good coah. It will take something special for him to be considered a great coach, that however does not have to be a state title. Knowing Coach Earls personally for several years I also know that he is committed to soccer and bringing good programs out of McMinn every year.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
