Houston and Cordova's boys both look really good. I counted Houston as having 8 individual qualifiers and 7 events and Cordova as having 5 individual qualifiers and 8 events at state. This section was stacked this year, but as predicted, many athletes knocked each other out and left the team race up for grabs.

Somebody double check my qualifying count. Its hard to tell.

Ohh.....and another thing....Houston had the top two decathletes qualify, Melrose had the next two spots and Memphis Central had one guy qualify.

I think Simeon Harris of Cordova would be the best decathlete in the state if he actually did it. The kid is a freak. Can't wait to see him in person at state.

Thanks, you are the first one to come up with those results. You are correct in all of your analysis that I can see...and you are dead on with Harris from Cordova. And what's up with the 1:26 in the 4x2? That's killing it. We'll be behind both teams in this section.

Yeah, our 4x400 and 4x200 teams will have their work cut out for them....... the state meet looks so dang tough this year.

No kidding there. We may be seeing a new state record in the 110 hurdles, and his 37 in the 300's is very impressive too. It's too bad for Cordova that he is basically all they have.

    • The people need our help!
    • Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.
    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
