Ground rules are listed in the 1A post. The smallest 3A is Gibson County, and the largest Brainerd.

Region 1: Claiborne, Elizabethton, Johnson County, Pigeon Forge, Rutledge, Seymour, Sullivan North, Unicoi County, Union County

Region 2: Anderson County, Austin-East, Carter, Fulton, Gibbs, Greeneville, Kingston, Scott

Region 3: Brainerd, East Ridge, Grundy County, Howard, McMinn Central, Sequoyah

Region 4: David Lipscomb, DeKalb County, Goodpasture, Livingston Academy, Macon County, Pearl-Cohn, Station Camp, White House

Region 5: Cheatham County, Creek Wood, Giles County, Greenbrier, Marshall County, Montgomery Central, Spring Hill, Sycamore

Region 6: Bolivar Central, Chester County, Crockett County, Fayette-Ware, Jackson South Side, Lexington, Liberty Tech

Region 7: Covington, Dyer County, Dyersburg, Gibson County, Haywood, McNairy Central, Obion County, Ripley

Region 8: Frayser, Hillcrest, Mitchell, Sheffield, Trezevant

Pearl-Cohn is a possibility to move up out of this one--Metro schools generally don't like being alone in their leagues.

Swamp would hate this, but he's really retired unlike me just being semi-retired :P

Changes in italics...for the ones I'm more familiar with

Reg. 1: Claiborne, Elizabethton, Greeneville, Johnson Co., Pigeon Forge, Rutledge, Sullivan North, Unicoi Co.

Reg. 2: Anderson County, Austin-East, Carter, Fulton, Gibbs, Seymour, Scott, Union Co.

Reg. 3: Brainerd, East Ridge, Grundy Co., Howard, Kingston, McMinn Central, Sequoyah.

Be advised...Betsy, Greeneville, Johnson Co. and Unicoi Co. will all play up to keep rivalries and to keep down travel expenses. I also thought AC and Brainerd were real close to the cut-off for 4A...but figured with a gap of nearly 20 between Brainerd and Memphis East that would be where T$$AA makes the line...that and Gibson Co. may be the top end of 2A with Cheatham Co. being the bottom end of 3A...

Reality...

R1: Claiborne, Pigeon Forge, Rutledge, Seymour, Sullivan North, Union Co.

R2: Anderson Co., Austin-East, Carter, Fulton, Gibbs, Kingston, Scott

R3: Brainerd, East Ridge, Grundy Co., Howard, McMinn Central, Sequoyah

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
