I've got to go with Twitty on this one.  BA will only play 4 JV games this

year.  There are less than 10 freshman that are likely to see action in the

blowout games.  I would much prefer that they play 7 or 8 games in

a freshman schedule.  Also, it would be tough for a Junior to watch a

freshman get playing time in a blowout game.

Only 4 JV games? That changes things a bit. I'd tend to agree with you guys in that case.

I still think the freshmen should dress. BA has a special tradition, and I wouldn't refuse it to anyone. They can "pay their dues" in other ways.

I agree with Itzme that it is a big deal for the freshmen to dress. If nothing else,

it is good for them to be able to experience the atmosphere. However, I would

still like to see a separate schedule for the freshmen.

Itzme:

One of the earlier posts made a slightly derogatory comment

about the receiver core. I thought the passing game looked

very good for the first game of the season. Kottas and Turner

both had nice catches and yardage after the catch.

What's your opinion?

There were no punts but the kicking game was solid. Baker converted

on all but one PAT (the other was a miss-handled snap). He also had

a 29 yard field goal that had plenty of leg. Kick offs were decent and

should improve with time.

If TSSAA wants to make rules they should make one to outlaw the "Fiiirrsstttt Dooowwwnnnn" nonsense. Brentwood and Brentwood Academy do that nonsense and I think its juvenile. If I ever hear it at Howard Gamble I'll cut the cord myself!!

The Titans do it because First American(AmSouth) pays them hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it , but I'm sure Bud Adams cringes every time he hears it!

I'm not a big fan of that either, but you must admit, at least he did it for both teams, unlike BHS.
