Why do the Bands take up 1/3 of the visitors Side

Why do the bands take up 1/3 of the visitors side in most small stadiums?

Why not use a pep band in the stands and the marching part could sit in seats to the side.

(Sarcasm)And those pesky freshmen players block my view. leave them at home too. or better yet dont allow anyone under 25 to come to the games.

 

 

The games and everything that goes with it are for the kids. the kids in band work hard too, not going to say the work as hard as the football players but they do spend alot of extra hours preparing least you could do is let them sit down during the game. maybe they are annoying to you but for crying out loud they are in high school they only get to do that once. if you want a seat get there early or get a bunch of friends and sit on the home side.
