What is proper conduct when a player is injured?

I ask this question because I was disgusted at what I witnessed at the UT - UNLV game last Sunday night.

 

During the 2d quarter when a UNLV player was down with an injury, the UT crowd started doing The Wave! I couldn't believe it!!! And, to top it off, this guy had to be carted off the field, but the fans just kept going on and on and on with The Wave. And, to top it off, that was the ONLY time they did The Wave during the entire game.

 

To me, that is UTTERLY CLASSLESS!
