Jan Zitney Bubb, here!  Thought it was interesting (and a bit amusing!) that someone out there wondered about my whereabouts!  After playing at MTSU and graduating with a B.S. degree with major in mathematics and minors in biology and secondary education, I taught high school mathematics (Alg I, Geometry, Alg II) for 15 years in a number of different states as my husband moved as promotions were offered.

Raised 3 wonderful sons.  Now have 8 grandchildren!!  (Two sets of twins, boy/girl; boy/girl to our youngest son!  What are the odds?)

Since 2009, I have been competing in the Senior Games (held odd years throughout our nation and must be 50 or older to compete) with a team from Colorado (that I joined during our stint in that state).  Been so much fun getting back out on the court again after a 30 year hiatus!

Having played half-court 6-on-6 back in high school (Shelbyville Central High in Tennessee) before high school girls' basketball converted to full-court 5-on-5, that experience has given me a bit of a leg-up as the Senior Games' basketball game is a half-court, 3-on-3, affair!  Still putting Bobby Locke's 3-on-3 triangle offense into play as it is hard to beat if a team has 3 shooters!  ;)

That's about it!

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
