I didnt come up with much D1, but maybe it will get your thread sarted.

Crockett, and Volunteer have already been giving Region 2 4A some gimme games for a couple years. Brainerd is also 4A already and a non factor.

I remember when Sulivan North was in our Region 1 and had couple of mediocre teams. All their potential players end up at DB. So, they will never be factor.

Lenoir and Walker Valley? I dont have a clue. If Lenoir ends up in Region 3 they will be hating life for ever. Walker Valley may have better luck in Region 4, I'm guessing that's where they would end up.

South Doyle, previously 5A, looks like they will fit nicely around the middle of your Region 3. So my vote goes to them.

What do ya think? BTW when is Maryville going 5A? I dont reckon that will happen before Thanksgiving weekend

Funny nisstek!! No, we'll still be around come thanksgiving haha :( We won't be going 5A for a coue more years. It WILL happen though, because we're already larger than the 4 smallest 5A schools. Look it up on TSSAA's site...

I think Walker Valley stands to gain the most in their area. Their toughest opponents are in the same city or just a county away, which will be great on the travel budget and getting fans to games. They might take over their Region!!

Man, I thought South Doyle might be a real improvement, even though they stunk it up this year. Well, I looked, and about 4 of their losses were to folks in ....you guessed it....Region 3 4A!! Those poor guys are never gonna catch a break.

Lenoir City will have the most immediate impact I believe. They have a young coach that has them believing in themselves. They had a great year in his first go around and I don't see that changing much, unles their gradauting the whole team.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
