i wanna know what some people thought of the match? Blackman left because they had many wrestlers overweight, and it was quite suprising who was overweight, but who was impressive between smyrna and wilson central?

Great job Smyrna. I was especially impressed with their 103...once he gets some more technique and mat time (and maybe a few more pounds) he'll be dangerous. Also, their 119 and 125 had great matches. The stamina and strength of the team overall was great. My only real criticism was that from 130-160 their wrestlers relied too heavily on strength rather than technique, and I know that they all have pretty good technique. So once that gets corrected they will definately be a team to beat.

This will get corrected once drilling sinks in and our feeder program pours in some refined talent next year rather than the usual raw talent having to learn from 9th grade or later. There's only so much time with this late start, plus the fact the kids have to take up chairs and tables and roll out mats everyday & then put it all back. Time is precious!!

I didn't think there was that much muscling going on. I saw some from the heavier weights but not that much from 130, 135, or 140 i saw some moves being worked by these guys and the guys that did some muscling started using there moves. Great job smyrna keep up the good work!

119 was Rostum and 125 was Brian Dedmon.

 

wrestlinman49: I could be absolutely wrong, but that's just what I saw from my seat. They all wrestled extremely well and never stopped moving and working moves.

It was great to have 300 or so fans there to watch two "not so powerhouse yet" teams. Wilson Central could have pulled it closer with Gann in the lineup and the team overall had good technique.
