I agree.  Ooltewah is a great upcoming program that is gaining statwide respect.  DB is always tough.  I would love to play you guys.  It is not going to work this year..  Lets talk normally.  Use logic.  Don't use names or call anyone like DB or Riverdale chicken.  How would you feel if the rolls were reversed?  You would be upset if I was attacking Ooltewah callin them chicken.  I am telling you that TN High is DB big priority right now and you should respect that.  Lets all get along now and try to use reason.  Agree?  I lke arguing too, but this will not produce anything or get anything done.  So lets be nice now, ok?  Shake hands with me now?

Thanks I really do not intend on any disrespect and therefore I apologize Ooltewah has been on the other side and we know how it feels we are a Chattanooga team and have always been pushed around putting us in different regions every five years and this goes for Soddy Daisy also. Chattanooga teams do not want to be in the same region with Ooltewah or Soddy Daisy and when they restructured the Regions to 5A all the teams in Chattanooga went to 4a with exception of Red Bank that spent two years in 5a with a state title and when the coach knew he had nothing returning they also dropped out leaving us and Soddy the up and coming programs get shoved into travel and tough regions this why we get irritable so easy. DB has a great tradition and everyone should be proud of their accomplishments DB and Riverdale and Oak Ridge are on the Mountain top where Ooltewah just wants a foothold that we may one day be that program everyone talks about.

Ooltewah is climbing their way up a ladder. I know not too long ago, people would have laughed if you told them Ooltewah would be where they are today. I thknk another big step will be to prove to Oak Ridge that Ooltewah is going to have a say in the region championship and constantly making the playoffs. Right now, those are the things Ooltewah needs to do. The recognition and respect will continue to rise. Playing good teams can help too, but don't be discouraged when things don't work out that way. I know DB wanted another series with MBA and it did not work out. But, there is not much we can do about it.

I hope im not to late to get things stired up again. :)

I really hate to burst the Ooltewah bubble but.....DB will be better next year, than they were this year. And Riverdale will be good next year because they are every year. We will see you boys in the 1st. or 2nd. round of the playoffs, because Oak Ridge will win Region2 (again). If we were "scared" we would be scared of Oak Ridge. After all they have knocked us out of the playoffs 2 years in a row. Why would we be scared of a team we beat ?

Region 2 was stronger this year than anytime in its history, and Region 1 was probably weaker. That doesn't mean it will be that way for long. Sevier Co. Jefferson Co. and Science Hill will all be much better next year.

Good luck next year, and I hope you make the playoffs and get your chance to play DB again.

All I know is that Ooltewah is bringing practically everyone back on both sides of the ball. Add to that a few Freshmen(who's teams absolutely embarassed almost everyone they played this season) and you have something working! Look for Ooltewah to really push for that Region Crown next season... Who wouldn't want a matchup with these schools, trust me DB and Riverdales coaches know how good Ooltewah will be next season, and they also know it would make a great game. Therefore if their schedules would have permitted these games would be penciled in already.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
