So who is the new three point baller from Cosby that hit 7 threes last night? What year is he?

Dexter Manning

A junior

Transferred from Cocke County at the conclusion of their Freshmen Season in 2002 (so he only saw limited action @ Cosby last year on their varsity team)

 

Kelvin Rone, a sophomore, can also stroke it pretty well. Some even say he's a better shooter at this stage than Kent Black was.

Getting to play with both of them i am not sure who the better shooter is..Kent lit it up his last two years..Doing most of it his senior..Dexter is already a great shooter and i believe could be better..he had another great night tonight shooting...keep it up cosby..

Hey, #33...

 

Dexter impressed me with his ball handling, speed and defense last year. It's exciting seeing him start the year shoting so well.

 

I think The Eagles have 5 or 6 players this year that could get hot on any given night. Teams won't be able to concentrate to on stopping The Eagle's shooters because we can hurt you inside also.

 

Somebody (maybe P. Webb) said it best. Cosby never rebuilds, we reload.

Manning is a player. We scored 20 something against Oneida. We held Blakely to 13 I think and other guys stepped up. What number is Rone?

I especially liked the CHS vs CCHS headlines and opening paragraphs.

 

"Look to make another solid statement fresh off a state tournament appearance"

"continue their tradition-rich history with another big season."

 

"looking to improve on their dissapointing campaign."

"continue to look for improvement this season."

 

We want to play them BAD.

 

 

I expect the Cosby vs cak games to be battles as usual. I don't know if Cosby will continue to play them next year after they have to move up to AA.

How bout dem eagles? 4-0 (1-0) Won a great game against cloudland at home friday night..Beat em by 30...69-39...I think the cosby Vs. Cak games will be great again this year too..Keep it up eagles..

      Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..

      They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.

      I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
