Home game tonight @ 7:30 against a good Volunteer team. We need to contain Fraizer and Hughes, and most of all play solid defense. Thoughts?

We were luck to win. We didn't play a lick of defense in the first half. Did a better job in the 2nd. If Unicoi hits their free throws we probably get beat. But it's a good win on the road. thumb

Nice win last night...good play from Leonard, Hess and Buchanan. Beverly played well also. When this team plays together and gets everyone involved, they are tough. Last night was an example. 34 points from perimeter (Hess, Buchanan) and 32 from post (Leonard, Beverly). How many rebounds did Leonard have? He must have had at least 10. With Unicoi beating Happy Valley, we control our own destiny, since both of these teams have to come to the Dickie Warren Dome. I hope these guys will take one game at a time. If so, they should be alright!

Is it just me or does anyone else notice - when Weatherford is out like last night that we play better as a team and actually score more than constantly having to look for Weatherford to get an open shot. Oh well.........

Leonard finished with 12 rebounds last night. Yes, I thought we stepped up with Weatherford out. It shows that the team can win without him which is a very good thing.

Great win tonight against a very impressive Unicoi Co. team. Gabe Buchanan and Phillip Weatherford flat wore out the Blue Devils in the second half. Our defense still needs improvement as does our free throw shooting, but a job well done nonetheless! Go Cougars!
