I also saw the article and was a little surprised that the coaches would make this kind of negative comment about a wrestler that has given his heart and soul to that team. Granted, the paper could have misquoted. The are known to do that.

Let's hope that is what happened.

Championships should be interesting. With WB beating Maryville, don't know that I would make a prediction, but I will. Maryville. Good luck to all the teams involved. Wish I could be there.

(I apologize for any name misspellings. Our student scorekeeper has some spelling issues.)

160 for Kingston wasn't Cowen. It was our JV wrestler who has been doing an outstanding job since filling in for Joslin. His name is Brent Lawson. 152- Cowen was out due to a shoulder injury.

Thought Bearden did a nice job with the senior night thing. Also, your new coach has the team heading in the right direction. Fill a few holes, and the bulldogs will be a team to watch out for next year!!

Thanks for the correction. Like I said, as the team's volunteer statistician I have trouble making out our scorekeeper's handwriting, so sometimes I have to guess. I hate to complain too loudly about the volunteer help though. As a parent I'm quite pleased with our new coach. Our team is mostly sophomores, so we're looking forward to the future. We've just got to figure out how to get more kids interested.

P.S. Thanks for the kind words about Wessleman on CoachT last week. He and his dad (and the rest of us) are really disappointed that his season is over.

    • They did a 10 play series deal instead of down and distance. LC scored twice but if it had been an actual game neither would have mattered because they turned over the ball twice with Sweetwater forcing fumbles both times. LC only scored on the 2nd stringers as well. Defense is looking solid and the offense has a good running back and receiver who did not play last year but made several great catches during the scrimmage, I believe the cats had some key pieces missing with baseball and track still being in season at the time. Considering the wildcats were matched up against a 5A school the cats held their own and forced multiple turnovers while also creating scoring opportunities against the LC defense.

I spent 27 years, faithfully in the United States Military. I don’t know if it was because I am Black or an easy target”
    • I don’t see any of them guys why leave programs to go there with no community backing or anything. Word up here on the hill is davy and veto into it over whose kid should be q b for jr high. Tough times in tc hope it all changes with a new face. And once again we aren’t giving up shoulders. And he doesn’t want that crap down there lol
    • They had the toughest bracket last year and no one said a word. You will never make everyone happy. Someone is always complaining.
    • Whoever gets hired I don’t think they will be there long, they’ll get ran out of town because they can’t win a tough region with a pee wee team.
