Father to current starting QB at White House, Ryan Mash. He is also the head coach at the Middle school where they went undefeated last year.

TCA was playing Middleton in week 10 of 2003. However, the time was 1:01 in the first quarter not 0:59 (I know what's difference for two seconds).

 

The guy in the endzone setting off fireworks had his hands full trying to reload before the next score.

The 1978 head football coach at White House (Jim Hammond) was the brother of the lead singer of the rock group--Atlanta Rhythm Section.

In 1971, the Mid-West Football Conference was formed with the following teams: Martin-Westview (came into the season with a 42 game winning streak!). Paris-Henry County, Trenton-Peabody, Humboldt, Milan. and Union City(looking for their first winning season since 1960!)

 

Union City would defeat Martin-Westview in the 1st week of the season to stop the 42-game winning streak. Martin -Westview would win every non-conference game, but lose to every member of the conference this season. Milan would blow every one out and take a squeaker (6-0) over Union City, to win conference title. They would also go on to win their first AA State Championship under legendary head coach John Tucker, on the road over Loudon. Trenton-Peabody, Paris-Henry County, and Union City would play in Bowl Games.

 

This conference would lose only 1 game outside its league, as Dyersburg beat Humboldt. This conference had to be one of the strongest AA leagues in the state. I challenge anyone out there to beat this record, as all six teams finished with .500 records or better.

I was once told that White House & Greenbrier also have the longest consecutive games played vs each other currently @ 58 years in a row (1947- Present). White House leads overall @ 37-22-0. (They played twice in 1964.) And also White House has: Most Wins vs. One Team - Greenbrier (37) Most Losses vs. One Team - Greenbrier (22)

The legendary Bobby Dodd started varsity as a 7th grader at Kingsport High School, he was a 6 year starter 1921-1926 although in 7th grade he played End instead of QB. For those not familiar with Bobby he was an All-American QB at Tennessee, then was head coach at Georgia Tech for 26 years where he won a national championship and is one of only two men who is a double inductee into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player and as a coach. Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium and The Bobby Dodd Coach of The Year Award are named in recognition of his contribution to the game.
