Collins Hill won the Gwinnett Invitational Tournament and placed 9 in the finals with 6 winning. Parkview was one of teams in attendance. Winning for Collins Hill was Vercelote - 125, Knapp - 130, Parker - 135, Gray - 140, Stadulis - 215, and Delaine - 275. Second place was Smithson - 112, Black - 119, and Hoppenbrauer - 145.

 

At the same venue there was also a Gwinnett Invitational JV Tournament and we placed 13 of 14 in the finals with 12 winning. The 14th came in 4th.

 

On the same day we entered out JV2 and 9th grade in a JV duals tournament and finished 1st.

Sommers...I'm looking forward to the showdown with Walton. The word down here though is that Waller is done for the year and if true those would be some big shoes to fill. Waller tore his ACL at the NHSCA preseason (which he won) and was trying to make it though the season before having surgery. He was already a two time state champion and I hate to see him not be able to compete for his third. The coaches and wrestlers from Walton are good people too.
