Cheerleader thrown out of a game?!

It's kind of crazy how tonight a girl cheerleader said a cuss word and the ref threw the male cheerleader out of the game. But yet, the basketball players can talk crap all night long and so can people in the crowd...But one cheerleader lets something slip and the ref has a cow. Granted, it isn't right, but why is it okay for the basketball guys to say it and not get in trouble and a cheerleader gets thrown out for it!?The Ref also made the call for him to sit down, but made the principle of the school do his dirty work!? I think if he makes the call he needs to stand in his own pants and take the responsibility!

Yes, I'm not saying we don't represent and yes there should be a line drawn.. But he didn't say it .. But at the game Tuesday night a ball player said a really loud cuss word and I know the ref had to of heard it but didn't say a word about it. They represent just like cheerleaders do. I'm not saying what they said was right by any means...I'm just saying we got punished for the same thing other participators do that represent just as much as we do.

Officials are instructed that when they eject a player, fan or in this case cheerleader that the game site administration is supposed to escort out the ejected person. The official is never supposed to "do the dirty work" and walk out that contestant.

Yeah, There is a problem with this situation, In a basketballball game players bust there butt every second of the game, alot of times when they make a mistake or a dumb play they will curse at themselves and not at the ref, In the other instance, When a ref makes a bad call and the player curses at him then he is most likely to get a T. So in the situation it is obvious that the cheerleader that cursed was cursing at the ref and not a mistake that he made considering that cheerleaders do not stunt while the game is in play. As far as him getting thrown out of the game I don't understand. Also I am sure that the coach of the basketball team wasn't to happy. Oh Yeah, one more thing I don't see why it is that big of a deal, I mean how do you punish a cheerleader.

See Ya

THe coach wasn't mad at the cheerleader b/c after it was all said and done she cheerleader promised that she only said "Bull crap" and "you're horrible" but the boy is the one that got punished. If you would have seen the call you would have been mad too because we lost a district game that was important all because the refs were giving us crap. But that was a few weeks ago and it's all over with. But last week we played a team and the ref heard the guys cursing..even if it was towards himself cursing is uncalled for. Oh well. . it's over with. We've learned our lesson.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
